think like a CD with erica & cara PART 1: LEARN ABOUT THE CASTING PROCESS! Monday November 9, 10am (PT) / 1pm (ET) This class kicks off with a live Zoom, where Cara and Erica will help break down a few of the many steps involved in casting an episode of TV. From script to breakdown to audition, learn the "why" behind the process. PART 2: SELF-TAPE! After the kick-off Zoom, Cara and Erica will provide details for participants to self-tape a COMEDY and a DRAMA scene in a mock audition setting. Actors will be provided with extra tips and guidance ahead of taping. PART 3: WATCH.. AND VOTE! Actors will put on their Casting Director hats and watch all the tapes for each role. Then they'll VOTE for their top 5 faves per character. PART 4: INTRODUCING THE TOP 5! Monday December 7, 10am (PT) / 1pm (ET) In a final Zoom, actors will join Cara and Erica to see who the TOP 5 vote-getters were per role. Cara and Erica will remark on any other tapes they'd include in the top 5 (and why) and talk about how these tapes are presented to the creative teams, who ultimately makes the final choices and what happens next in the Casting process. All live Zooms are recorded for playback. Slack channel for all participants to communicate and stay in touch. $90 per participant Individual feedback will NOT be provided.
